Rising from the open desert near the Joshua Tree National Park entrance, Alta House is a custom study in glass, light, and clean architectural line. Floor-to-ceiling walls dissolve into sweeping mountain views, while a sculpted pool, spa, and fire pit anchor the desert-scaped grounds. A three-bedroom main house and detached two-bedroom casita hold ten in privacy and space, the casita with its own kitchen and living area. All of it minutes from downtown Joshua Tree and the park itself.

Alta House stands within the open desert near the Joshua Tree National Park entrance, a custom composition of clean line and quiet mass. Floor-to-ceiling glass draws the mountains inward, and the open living, dining, and kitchen volume carries the desert light from first sun to last. Three bedrooms rest within the main house. A detached casita holds two more, alongside a full kitchen and living area of its own. The space between the two structures gives groups room to gather and retreat. Beyond the glass, a sculpted pool and spa mirror the sky, a fire pit animates the desert-scaped terrain, and generous grounds open to dining and repose beneath a wide horizon. The National Park entrance lies roughly 14 minutes out; downtown Joshua Tree, about 7.

Events and Commercial Photoshoots: Alta House is offered exclusively for overnight stays. Events, gatherings, and commercial photoshoots are not permitted under a standard booking and require a separate agreement. If you’re interested in hosting a photoshoot or event, please reach out to us directly for details on availability and rates before booking. Pool Heating: Should you wish to have the pool heated (84 degrees max) during your stay, please notify us in advance of your arrival. There will be a supplemental per day charge for this service. Pool Heating (84 degrees max) - two day minimum of $350/day ($700 minimum) Pool heating fees are non refundable. Spa Heating: Spa heating is always included with each rental (max temp 102 degrees). Pool Service: To keep the pool as pristine as possible, the pool is serviced every Wednesday. Our pool technician will go directly to the pool in order to respect your privacy. If you are in the pool at the time feel free to ask him to come back at a later time. Pets: Dogs only, maximum 2 - $120/stay Early Check-In: If Alta House is ready early, we will let you know.
