Accessibility and Availability

Neighborhood

Jewel Crest is located in a safe, rural neighborhood where each lot has an average of 2.5 to 10 acres. While the property is private, and you have 5 serene acres of land to explore with dozens of native Joshua Trees, you are not isolated. There are neighbors to the right (about 600 feet away) and across the street (also about 600 feet). There are no neighbors to the left or behind the property, which is why it has such amazing unobstructed views. For those wondering if you need an SUV to get here, the answer is no. This exact location was chosen for its easy access to the main, paved road (Aberdeen). While Jewel Crest is on a dirt road, the dirt is firm, and you are only driving on it for about 60 seconds. There is also a very handy Mesa Market about 3 minutes away from the property, where you can get everything from beverages to tampons, to scissors to snacks, and a bunch of other items.

Guest Access

Guests will have unrestricted access to the entire 5 acre property during your stay.

You will need a car to get around. The great news is there is 5 acres which = free parking. Please don't run over the plants, lights or boulders. Park in front of the house and then follow the roundabout pathway on the left for exiting. No need to back up 250 feet. If you are coming from anywhere outside of Southern California, flying into Palm Springs International Airport (about 45-50 minutes away), renting a car and driving is recommended. It's a very quick, easy, scenic drive.

We had an amazing stay at Jewelcrest House! The home was incredibly clean, beautifully organized, and thoughtfully set up. Every detail feels intentional, and I totally to see why it’s been featured in design magazines. The amenities were wonderful, especially outside: the beautifully designed pool, plus a sauna and cold plunge that we loved using in the morning. The coffee was outstanding, the bed was super comfy, and we had so much fun listening to records and hanging out surrounded by natural beauty. Communication with the hosts was super friendly, welcoming, and easy from start to finish, which made us feel right at home. You can tell a lot of care goes into this place. We’re already planning to come back and stay longer…highly recommend!

Ben + Andreas Airbnb did not disappoint ! It was beautiful and had all amenities to feel just at home. Every inch of the home had a cute touch and we appreciated how the kitchen was fully stocked with everything you need to create simple meals. Loved the backyard and how private and quiet the neighborhood really was !

Would thoroughly recommend this place! Its so quiet and peaceful. You can sit in the hot tub and listen to the Santa Ana winds whistle through the Joshua Trees. Close to Joshua Tree national park too!

Absolutely phenomenal property and experience. My wife and I visit Joshua Tree once a month and have stayed at upwards of 20 AirBnBs, and this is easily in our top three. The first thing that sets it apart is the plot of land it's on. You're on a dirt road so traffic is minimal. The neighbors aren't super visible. And it has tons of joshua trees, chollas, and ocotillos. Assuming you're coming to the area because you love nature, there aren't many properties better than this. The co-host who responds to inbound messages, Josh, is extremely responsive and hospitable, and embodies the ethos of human warmth that AirBnB built its initial success on. The home is super clean, love the floor to ceiling windows, it might be the first property I've stayed at where the record player works, the couch is comfortable, real indoor plants are a nice touch. 10/10.
